About us
ProgramThe so called »TDJW Fördergesellschaft«, our promotional association, is a strong lobby and ambassador of the theatre and supports different projects of the house.
Enthusiasts, friends, cultural enthusiasts, lovers and spectators of the oldest municipal theatre for children and young people in Germany - that's us! For more than twenty years the society has been committed to the Theatre of the Young World and to a lively culture in Leipzig. In November 2018, Andreas Schlüter, Maren Jütz, Annelie Richter, Andrea Reuter (pictured from left to right) and Lydia Schubert were elected as new members of the board of directors. They are committed to supporting the theatre in its diversity and actively promoting culture, promoting barrier-free access and enabling children, young people and families from financially weak and socially disadvantaged backgrounds to visit the theatre.
Especially for young people we would like to open the society to develop and implement innovative ideas together.
